It's been a while. What's happening with the new EP I promised earlier, you might ask. Well, the bad news is, there won't be an EP. The good news is, the EP is now an almost finished full-length album. I've written, recorded and produced a couple of new tracks. Going through some old demos I found a couple of songs that I thought deserved to be well produced. And then there's a couple of songs that I've released only as singles. Together they form an album of 12-14 songs (I haven't decided yet wether to put all of them out or not). The plan is to have the album released late January or early February 2012.

What else? I've signed an exclusive licensing deal with Mighty Generation Music.

So, in about a month, more than a thousand of you downloaded my free single IF! Hope ya'll liked it.

I've got plans for an EP that will feathure a new version of 1961 and at least 4 other tracks.

I will play the Hökarfesten Festival in Hedemora Augusth 13th.
It'll be a very special performance since I together with the band will play songs from previous bands of mine including Dislife, CMB and Sam Law.
This will be a rock, grunge and punk show that'll kick some serious *ss. So don't buy a ticket for the show expecting lullabys...

Hey! Finally the next single is here. And since I'm late with it and since it's summer here in Sweden I will give it away as a free download in the next seven days starting today. To download it just go to the free download page, right click the song and choose "save target as".

The song will off course soon also be available on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon and so on if you'd care to support me that way.

The song is a very slow waltz featuring mostly a fiercely low tuned acoustic guitar and a harmonium, besides from my vocals that is. So strap on a pair of good headphones, lean back on a nice warm couch a rainy day and just float away with the song.

This year it's fifty years since Jurij Gagarin became the first man in space. Some claim that he said "I don't see any God up here". Also, it's fifty years since the Berlin wall was built. The news our radio and tv constantly broadcast to the world is also constantly leaking out in space. Given a radiosignal travel at about the speed of light in vacuum our news is always present somewhere. So to quote my new single, 1961, "fifty lightyears out in space, news is that another race, broke the chains of gravity, knows now there's no deity..." You'll find it on iTunes very soon. Hey! It's been a while. Anyways, a lot of new music is soon to arrive. Chris Michols Band is currently recording their first official release.

The first single from the upcoming full length album will be released very soon. It's a cowboy-sounding song called killer. It's one of the few more laid back songs on the upcoming album.

I recently signed a deal with Action Media Music . And two days ago I got word that they've licensed my song Everything I Need for a tv commercial. The commercial is already rollin. Way to go action media music!

About time for some new stuff don't you think?
Well, some might wonder what the hell I've been up to lately (musically that is). And I'm pretty sure that some just couldn't care less. Anyways, Here's an update for you all.

The plan was to have the new album out by the end of the summer, unfortunately it won't be so. The arrival of a possibility to ge my music on iTunes, Spotify and similar sites slowed me down a bit. Why? Well, the The Long Road album, which I think of as a demo, contains a bunch of songs that I honestly beleive are pretty good. So now I'm making real studio recordings of all these songs so that I can release that album officially. Two songs are already finished. This rerecorded album will be out this fall.
